Hide / Disable Local PC login option?
My users have finally become a little more used to Windows 7 netwrok login boxes with the tweaks that Hide Last User Name and other customizations. However, one major annoyance I would like to see go away is the default option that reverts to log into local PC if you mis-type domain login. For example, via GPO I have the default domain to log into set. But if the user makes a typo and the computer denies domain login access it immediately switched to "Log on to: Local PC Name" assuming you must not have meant login to domain. But the users dont catch this and knwoing they just made a typo re-enter the login info for the domain. But now its set for Local PC and, of course, it again doesnt allow them access because all my usewrs dont have local accounts. Way to fix it so it always stays with domain as target and no option for local (unless of course you knwo to ____ the prefix localPCname\username)?

You must meant that when a user access resources inside the domain, the popped up credential request window reset the local machine as the default domain for the user if the first entering is incorrect. This behavior is by design. Cannot be changed. We have received several similar feedbacks. I believe that related department has noticed it.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
