Hibernation problem
Hello, I have a problem with my Win 7 Ultimate (runs on dell inspiron 1564). I can't hibernate my system. There is a "hibernate" label in Start menu. When I click on it, the display gets dark and the computer is not responding. The only opportunity for me is to shut down the computer holding the power button. When I try to install new drivers ,there is a message that driver software is up to date. Where is the problem?

Nothing happens. It turns on the fan constantly on high speed, and the power indicator is on. I've waited about half an hour.

Please update the BIOS and peripheral firmware, such as SCSI adapters, modems, CD and DVD drives, or video cards and see if the issue can be resolved. Besides, please update the device drivers to the latest version to check the result. If the issue persists, access Clean Boot to check the issue. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue. If the issue still exists in Clean Boot, please unplug all unnecessary devices and then perform the steps below to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Click Start, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Search bar and press Enter. 2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers". 3. Right click on your sound card and then click "Properties. 4. In the dropdown menu of Device Usage, please choose "Do not use this device (disable)" and click OK. 5. Please use the same method to disable other dubious hardware such as: internal modem, network card and CD-R drive. Please note some devices such as video adapter are not available to be disabled. Hope this helps. Regards, Linda Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
