Hibernate Once Resume Many (HORM) like in Win XPe
Am I the only one that dreams of having this feature in Windows 7 or Vista or XP?Seems like such a clever way to maximize your booting speed, and unless you're making changes to your system (installing software or hardware) I see no reason why you should not be able to do this. Not only booting, but after you've had your system running for a long time it would be invaluable to just 'refresh' to a fresh boot state.Essentially in my research I've discovered that the hiberfil.sys file header is examined, and it is determined if the hibernation file is not stale then it loads it and marks it as stale. How to prevent it from marking it as stale, or to remark it as not stale? The file is locked, can't access it to modify it yourself...Just rambling in the hopes that some developer will see the light or point me to a solution.

Well you can on windows XP... (Google New EWF + MinLogon and CF instructions) so then you need experimente to see if it will work on Vista as well...

Hey i've nearby the same problems once i set up Windows 7 into Hibernation it begins to reboot. I just updated already the S3 driver from Intel for Bearlake chipset and also updated the Bios , but it doesn't function. When i use XP or Vista i do not have any problems with this specific measure. I hope in RC , by an update or in the final version this problem is fixed.
