Hi TechNet ppl, got my BIG first trouble
Ok ... thanks for ur time reading my post As I said, i have a problem with W7 (x64 of course), this problem starts when im finishing the installation of my AV (Antivirus if u dont know). This erros says: "The ordinal 6929 could not be located in the dynamic link library mfc90u.dll" The AV is Avira, and i contacted to the TechSupport to solve this error, but after many re-installations... the problem was obviously windows u.u, I did the following steps: (all installations, were suggested by the technSupport team Avira and Microsoft's home page) 1: The Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) ... (restart) ... (the Antivirus was removed before) 2: After that, I reinstall the latest version of Antivirus... Again, the error appeared at the end of the installation. so then... 3: Uninstall the AV... (restart) ... after check and install all updates for windows i restart again windows 4: I found this article "Fix Microsoft Security Bulletin MS11-025 - Important" about Vulnerability in Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) Library Could Allow Remote Code Execution (2500212) 5: read this article, takes me to Microsoft's web page to find the new pack of C++ and i found this one (installed) Last version is Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update 6: after restart, is the error finally solved?... sorry but i have to said NO, I did it all, but the error still. Sincerely I hope you understand my problem, because I wont make a mostake just for install tools what an ordinary forum suggest to do. Thats why im here at Microsoft Technet forum, an official forum about windows. *Never had this error before since i restored windows to factory mode (could be the cause...? hope no u.u) Thanks a lot for reading me... have a nice day. Hi, According to your description, I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue: 1 Logon with Clean Boot 2 Remove some third party tools 3 Temporally disable UAC Furthermore, you can install Windows 7 SP1 package for test. In addition, if the issue only occur with AntiVir, you’d better contact AntiVir for further help: http://forum.avira.com/wbb/ Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice.
