Hey I cannot open any folders by double click in my computer or Windows explorer?
I can right click open but not double click open folders in windows explorer or My computer. when I double click I get this error. "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." Last thing I remember 100% is that i was downloading and installing Peazip and was attempting to extract an .rar file. before I did those the double click worked perfectly. So I tryed getting rid of PeaZip and the extracted files but still no dice. Hopefully someone can help. Edit: I also tryed a full restart and virus scanning.

You could try to restore to a different time before this happened.

I did a chk dsk and the problem still lingers Details: System restored failed while scanning the file system on the drive C:\ The drive might be corrupt. You might want to retry System restore after running chkdsk /R on this disk. An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x8000ffff). End Details;

Glad to hear the issue is solved and thankings for the sharing. And for the compatibility issue, contact the manufacture could be a better choice. Hi all, I do have the same problem like Wolfae did but mine is different from him. I got virus attacked. I tried several way to fix this by doing update regedit.exe, run regcleaner and so on but still the problem can't be solved. But as I assumed, must be virus attacked and so I download AVG PC- tuneup 2011, installed and run ....woola......it's fixed. you can find it here http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-avg-pctuneup Thank you AVG.
