Help with Share/NTFS Permissions - Windows 7
Hi, I have partitioned my hard drive and moved all my data to a seperate partition. I am trying to reshare some of the folders, and struggling to understand the best practices and actually set the NTFS permissions correctly. I shared the folder, and set the permissions to Authenticated Users having full control. Is that best practice? I access the machine remotely, so created a read only user. When I click on Security, I see Authenticated Users, SYSTEM, Administrators, Users and the user that I'm logged in as. Do I change any of those settings? I added the new user, and gave it read only priviledges. Is that all I do? thanks! David
