I found a way around it, so this thread can be closed. Thank you. I want to change my SID number with an app called "NewSID V4.10". I tried to change it a few months back, but even after doing a system restore point, when I restarted my computer it would not start. I don't remember what error I got, but it had something to do with not being able to load the OS. When I did do it I did not have my Vista activated at the time. I don't know if this has anything to do with it though. I do have it activated now and want to change my SID again but I don't want to loose everything again. Is there anything I can do that will ensure that all goes to plan? I am running Vista Ultimate, but if more info is needed I will provide it. Thank you very much for any help you can offer. Bill M.

nvm i took it to a pc shop and got it fixed btw makeing a new acc on the computer and setting it as admin helps

Everytime I try to make a new account, my computer crashes and literally says f*** you! I just want my old SID back.
