Can you guys help me for sum reason I keep getting this error right when about to finish restoring my computer. system restore failed while restoring from the registry from the restore point. the restore point was damaged or was deleted during the restore

This could possiby be your problem . You must have StateMgr enabled in MSCONFIG in orfder for the system restore utility to work , I know it sounds to easy to be true, howecver I helped a guy that had a virus and could not get it out of his hidden restore foldr. I gave him imsructions on how to disable the sytem restore and ourge all of the restore points including the oe holding the virus .He was very happy untill he could not re-enable the system restore utility, Well it turned out he had the check mark remove from StateMgr in MSCONFIG ,once he put the mark in that spot ,it was working again.

1) Run CMD as a administrator, then type the following command: vssadmin list shadowstorage Then look at the amount of space under "Used Shadow copy Storage Space". This will tell you whether you actually have any restore points. 2) Create a restore point manually, then try and restore to that.MCT,MCSE,MCSA,MCTS, Server Administrator
