Is the network you are trying to connect to using any security (i realize this may sound like a dumb question) I had an issue connecting to a wifi net that was using wep and W7 would see the network, attempt and fail to connect, present the option to run diags but never presented an option to enter the wep key. I eventually found a way to manually enter the key. but it seems like that option was missing, it was there in Vista. (Seems like this should be a bit more accessable)CheersBR

Would you mind "sharing" as to where you found the place to enter the WEP key? I have the same problem on mine. Thanks,

I had the same issue on my dell laptop running vista, and i solved it the simplest way: rebooting the laptop.I have noticed that sometimes, after a dozen sleep-wake sessions, the computer gets unusually slow and/or unable to connect to any wireless or wired network. It simply won't be able to find the dhcp host and/or make a ping. I had tried many different settings and restarted my router several times, but after all the only way I could solve it was simply rebooting the pc.
