I have found in my defragmentation reports a bunch of references to files named FGCDIR\xxx (where x is a numeral) and DELETEME.0\xxx. How can I go about removing these from my system?1 person needs an answerI do too

Are you referring to Win XP? I tried to do this, but these directions took me to Search, and the "\" qualifier (?) caused it to reject the search. I am running WinXP Pro SP3. CWF.

Try WIN+F. That should open the Find feature in Windows, where you should just be able to input FGCDIR and / or DELETEME.0 in the box where you are prompted to specify what you are looking for.
