Help With My Internet
hello i came here today to ask about my windows xp internet it hasnt been working for months and now i bother to ask cause i have nothing else to do i have tried everything to get my internet working i looked through many forums and now i'm coming here for help give me all your ways to connect my pc to the internet wireless

Hi,· What happens when you try to connect to the internet? Do you get any error message? If yes, what is the exact error message?· What are the steps that you have tried on the system to resolve your issue?· In Network connections, do you see the Wireless Network connection icon? If yes, how many icons of Wireless Network connection do you see? If you see more than one, then I would suggest you to delete them from the system and then try to configure the network connection on the system and check whether the issue is resolved. · Have you updated the drivers for the Network adapter on the system? If you have not updated the drivers, then I would suggest you to update the drivers on the system from the manufacturer’s website and check whether the issue is resolved. when i try to connect to the internet it wont let me like when i click on wireless network connection to choose a wireless network it says "windows cannot configure this wireless connection. if you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection use that software, if you want windows to configure this wireless connection start the wireless zero configuration." i tried unplugging my internet connection or wires then i plugged it back in i went to -->control panel --> performance and maintenance-->administrative tools-->services-->wireless zero configuration--> starti disabled then enabled the wireless connection i cant remember anything else i do see two different computer screens one that says wireless network connection 5 it has a red X a lock and a antena that looks like this ((i)) it says not connected, firewalledanother computer screen has a lock and something looking like this _|_ updated what drivers? what does troubleshoot mean? sorry im just a kid and im trying to help myself

this is funny i tried trouble shooting and it didint work then i tried the 2nd way to do it and it brought me to the first way to troubleshoot which didint work in the begining no help but i haven't updated the dirvers im waiting on your response if you ever come and respond

Hi,· Was the internet working before on the system?· Are you able to connect to the internet through wired connection?· What is the software that you use to connect to the wireless network on the system?· Did you try the steps mentioned in the article given below? You can see the pictures in the article and perform the steps. Troubleshooting means the identification and resolution of problems, especially problems of a technical nature. I meant updating the Network drivers from the manufacturer’s website when I said update drivers. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website and then install it back on the system.a. Click on start menu and click on Run.b. Type devmgmt.msc in the run box and press enter.c. Locate the Network adapter and then right click on it to uninstall it from the system.d. Restart the computer and then install the drivers on the system. Apart from that, I would suggest you to check in services whether the wireless Zero configuration setting is set to Automatic or not. Follow the steps mentioned below.a. Click on start menu and click on Run.b. Type services.msc in the run box and press enter.c. Locate Wireless zero configuration and check whether the startup type is automatic and it is started.d. If not, right click on Wireless zero configuration service and then click on properties.e. Make the startup type as Automatic and start the service.Now check whether the wireless connection is active on the system. Thank you and Regards. yes it was working before but not anymore it keeps on working then stop workingyes i was a long time agolinksysi tried the wireless zero configuration but i didint try uninstalling the network adapter

Hi, If you have not tried the uninstalling the network adapter then I would suggest you to uninstall it and then reinstall the drivers from the Linksys and check whether you are able to connect to the internet. Hi,· What is the model of the Network adapter that is present on the system and who is the manufacturer? The details about your Network adapter will be present in the Device manager. Follow the steps to check which Network adapter is present on the system.a. Click on Start and click on Run.b. Type devmgmt.msc in the run box and press Enter.c. Click on Network adapters and right click on the Network Adapter that is present on the system.d. Click on Properties and click on the details tab.e. This tab will give you the type of the Network adapter that is present on the system and the manufacturer.f. Go to the manufacturer’s website and then download the Network adapter driver for the Network adapter model that is present on the system and the install it on the system.
