Help Getting On University Network
The school I am attending has security on the network which requires us to enter a username and password to access it. For Vista we had to install a disk that I am fairly sure only tweaked Vista in order to make it compatable and didn't actually install anything. If anyone has any idea how I could get this to work on 7 as the disk will not work. Please ask for any more nessacary or helpful informationThanks

Why don't you ask your network administrator which user name and password should you use?

I already have my user name and password, but currently my computer won't recognize that the network needs a user name and password.

Like the disk the school gave me to use with Vista? Yes, I tried that but it says invalid operating system or something to that effect.

I didn't realize you could run cds in compatability mode... makes sense now though ha.Unfortanatly it still did not work and said invalid operating system.I am able however to get onto the wireless at school, which uses the same security as the wired. I don't really know how it is working.

It sounds like you'll have to wait until they come with a Windows 7 disk before it'll work correctly.Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience
