this morning when I booted up my computer it took about 30 minutes for everything to load and when everything loaded it seemed to be freezing up and not loading pages and not doing much of anything, the drive kept spinning and then when I tried to bring up the defrag it would defrag the D Files but when I clicked on the C files it didn't defrag and told me to chkdsk and then my boyfriend and I tried typing in chkdsk and still nothing happened, we are both at a loss of why it won't defrag. Start>Run> type in:Chkdsk /fA window will pop up stating that it cannot be performed.It will ask you something like "Do you want to run a chkdsk the next the files are not in use (SOMETHING along those lines) Type: YHit enterRestart your computer.Chkdsk may, or may not take awhile...
