Help.... win Vista NOT computer savvy and need help
Hi there. Was just on web surfing away, looked up a specific website and nothing came up so hit back button to go back to google and next thing a window pops up. The window looks like a normal windows window BUT address on the page toolbar is http://perfectscanz.com/2/. In the toolbar at the top of the "window" it says >Computer > Virus scanner and in the window itself it says that 4 infected files have been found in both C and D hard drives, below that it states that 'Antivirus Protection Disabled' and below that is a list of Threats named 1)W32.Mypics.worm.36352 2)Magic DVD ripper 3)Trijan.fakealert.355 4) Trojan virtumonde 5)Adware.Win32.winad 6)W32.Yaha.B@mm 7)Trojan Horse Generic11.OQJ 8)Trojan Horse IRC/backdoor.SDBot4.FRV.Below that is a tab that says "RECOMMENDED Click 'erase infected' to erase all infected and suspiciousfiles and to make your system protected. Now what makes me think that its a bogus site is that firstly in the bottom RH corner of the window it says '1024bit 100% secure site', but at the top of the page where the lock usually appears for a secure site it is not displaying that its secure. Secondly on the left it has listed 'Favorite links' and below that is Documents; Pictures; Music; Recently changed; seraches (yip the spelling is wrong); (and) Public. If you click on any of these a window pops up asking you to run a file and it comes up with a security warning saying its an "unknown publisher"Now my question is, is this a genuine windows window or is this a trap? and WHAt the ____ do I do to get out of this??????? PLEASE HELP!

Its a Scam, i suggest you Block this Site through IE/Firefox settings. to get out of it you can just shut the PC down if the "X" button isnt working. allso jus to make sure, run a decent Antivirus and spyware program Antivirus: NOD32 AVGfree Spyware: Spybot Search & Destroy Windows Defender I run all these on a weekly basis and ive not had a single infection as of yet :)
