Today, I picked up my laptop while it was running. I closed it, and then proceded to flip it over to check the battery. I left it there to cool for 3 hours. The next time I rebooted, Windows did not start. Start up repair did not work either. I diagnosed the problem as a problem with my hard drive. Is there anyway I can get my files back? I have a very important paper on the computer. Thanks! btw my system is an HP pavilion DV4-2045x running on Windows 7 home basic (or premium? i'm not too sure).
