Help!! Folder Redirection via GP and disabling Sync Center
Hi all I have successfully setup folder redirection for items like users desktop, documents etc via Folder redirection snap in, inGroup Policy. However when the user logs in, Sync Center sits in the taskbar and allows the user to create offline files of their redirected folders. I have also enabled the group policy setting to not automatically make redirected folders offline. This is well and good but it does not prevent the user accessing sync center from the task bar. Is it possible to disable the sync center all together via group policy. Cheers

Hello, I was wondering if you have had success in killing the sync center from the taskbar via GPO? We are fighting the same issue and am curious what you have found. Our situation is a GPO which desktop users are not aware of the sync center but lap top users can go in and configure it via control panel. Thanks, John

Only way i've been able to avoid this was to disable the offline files service in group policy for specified computers, this causes some issues however (or at least has for me on one particular lab of computers we have)John Whites
