Headphones Not Automatically Connecting
I own a pair of LG Bluetooth headphones and back in Windows 7 they would connect automatically very fast or if they didn't I could manually connect them by going to the "Show Bluetooth Devices" option and then double clicking on my device and it would allow me to connect manually. Now in Windows 8.1 this isn't allowed and my headphones never connect to my PC. What I normally have to do is go in and unpair them then pair them again which is just annoying and I even have the check box checked that says "Allow Bluetooth Devices to find this Computer" in the Bluetooth options section. How do I fix this?

More often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

So are you saying I need to uninstall my Bluetooth driver? Because anytime I unpair my headphones it deletes the drivers and then when I pair them it gets them back

Hi trexdrex,

I do find lots of similar issues like yours, seems like LG HBS-7xx head set do have some Compatibility issues with Windows 8.1. It is hard to say if it is a Windows issue or device issue and no official way to fix that by now.

Some users said that following method could fix this issue but we do have limitation for this kind of test. Hope it works for you.

Quote from LG users reply:

Ok I'm going to tell you how mine worked... I had to install The windows 7 driver first then update it to the windows 8 version. It's not a Windows 8 issue the manufacturer Purposely for what ever reason took a lot of functionally out of the windows 8 version easiest way to tell compare file sizes between the two I know my HP laptop was like that because when I installed the windows 8 version first it wouldn't always connect/reconnect... now when you install win 7 version first run in compatibility mode so you avoid the "Not intended for this operating system" or "system does not meet minimum requirements" to install Windows 8/8.1 version install with these steps: Press Windows key+ x then click or tap on device manager  then find Bluetooth category and find your Bluetooth device The common names for Bluetooth devices are QUALCOMM/Broadcom/Or the manufacturers name update it using device manger(1. Right click it/tap and hold then release 2. click Update device software) and browse to the folder you extracted it and update it that way! Sorry seen this in email for some days Just finally got a chance to share the solution.
