Having problems with Internet Disconnecting?
Just thought I'd post this piece of advice on here. As seen in the networking section my internet kept cutting off at random intervals. It turns out it was because I was connected through my onboard lan card. I installed a Netgear LAN card and ever since, the disconnections have stopped. Being as these cards a cheapy obtained thought it might be worth mentioning here incase any1 else is having problems.

I'm having this exact problem. Got a XFX nVidia nForce 780i motherboard with 2xgigabit network cards and in windows 7 I keep getting disconnected all the time, it's really freaking annoying. It shouldn't be nessesary to buy a seperate networkcard (I got no free slots to put one in with gpus taking up all slots). Everything works fine in XP, Vista, Ubuntu and whatever other os I've run on the exact same setup but with windows 7 the disconnecting is killing me. Especially when I'm watching a movie, whatever movie I watch no matter which media player my internet gets disconnected and it's impossible to get connected to the network again without closing the media player, I've treid with Windows Media Player, VLC, Zoom Player and Media Player Classic and it's the exact same ____ for all.

I had a similar problem, I actually removed the nic and connected to the Mb, however I found that the Marvel Yukon drivers were not solving the disconnection issues. I downloaded the Vista64 drivers from the Gigabyte site (and although they are older) they seem to have solved the issue.
