Have to refresh several times to load pages?
In both IE8 and FF3.5.5 I have to hit refresh several times for any web page to load for me, otherwise it just acts like I have absolutely no Internet access. Windows update works andinstant messaging works so it seems this is only browser related. I also noticed that a Google image search will only display about 20% of the images before the browser says it is "done". Iupdated to thelatest nic drivers from 11/17/09 but that does not resolve the issue. I have also tried setting the DNS to several different public DNS servers.I am connected using dial-up using ICS through another Windows 7 computer. The problem computer also has XP installed on it and the XP installation has no problems with either IE8 or FF3.5.5. I have tried manually flushing DNS cache and disabling all firewalls on both computers, but that's about the only wisdom I can find doing my own search of different help forums.Any ideas?

Hi, I would like to suggest you perform the following steps to check the issue. Reset TCP/IP, proxy and DNS ===================== 1. Click the Start Button, click "All programs", and click "Accessories". 2. Right-click "Command Prompt", and click "Run as administrator". If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 3. Please enter the following commands, and press enter after each NETSH INT IP RESET NETSH WINHTTP RESET PROXY IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS 4. Restart the computer to check the issue. If the issue persists, I would like to suggest you run HiJackThis and paste the results in your next post. 1. Please download HijackThis from the following link: http://www.techspot.com/download317.html HijackThis is a tool to collect some system settings information which is useful for further troubleshooting. Note: The third-party products discussed here are manufactured by vendors independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability. 2. Right click the downloaded HJTInstall.exe file and choose "Run as administrator". Provide administrator password or click Allow if you are prompted to do so. 3. Click the "Do a system scan and save a logfile" Button. Arthur Li - MSFT
