1. Where can i find if i  have windows 8.1, 8.1 Pro or 8.1 RT

2. I have not windows surface etc  so it should be inpossible to have RT.... BUT if i want download windows media player. it shows me i cant because i have RT version.... so what should i do? i have not ARM processor i have no ultrabook i have NOT notebook. i have gaming table PC with AMD phenom II and AMD  geforce 6750...

Hi,

Garth's answer is right, we can know the certain version of you device in Computer->Properties. You can also run "winver" to check the results.

For the error message, would you please provide the screenshot of it and post back for further research?

I suppose that the version in the Registy key can be changed unexpected which cause your issue, please check following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

The respective hive can be found under %SystemRoot%\System32\config with the name SOFTWARE.

If there is any related RT, please backup the registry key and change back to the right one.

If you have any concern, please also post back the exported registry keys and the screenshot of running Winver.
