Hi, To find out if you are running the 64-bit version of Windows XP, right-click My Computer, then click Properties. If you do not see "64-bit" listed, then you are running the 32-bit version If "64-bit" is listed under System, then you are running the 64-bit version. Please bear in mind, that my answer is based on the details given in your post. The more I get the better the answer, Slan go foill, Paul

If you have service pack 3 at this time, you have a 32-bit edition of Windows XP. 64-bit XP is based off of Server 2003 code, and that currently is at the SP2 level.

There is no 64-bit version of XP *Home*, and there is also no SP3 for the 64-bit version. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Ken Blake

Why don't you read this KB article from Microsoft that explains everything and choose the appropriate method:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218/en-us
