Has a solution to internet dropping connections been found?
My internet continually drops it's connection after a few minutes. I'm forced to restart to bring it back.I did try the diagnose and repair and it would only tell me that my DNS wasn't reachable, but I could access and log onto my work IP using IE8. So my internet wasn't stopped just unavailable for anything internet except this one webpage. After re-booting the internet would function normally for several minutes. I could go anywhere open as many tabs or windows I liked. Then whether I was using IE lightly or heavily the internet would drop out. I could usually continue working in the same page/tab as long as I stayed on the same site but opening another tab or window would give me an "unable to connect" error. Thatand I could still access my works IP...go figure!I've checked my setting's and everything is up and running. Resetting the lan sometimes works but I usually have to reboot.I've read a lot of posts regarding this issue but haven't seen a solution that applies to me, ie: wired lan.

Did you install the latest driver on the manufacturer's website for your NIC card?

Braddds,I was having the same problem. After thinking about it. I figured out my problem, and found out I have had two DHCP servers running on my network for a while and only until I installed Win7 I started having problem with win7. The old DHCP server had wrong DNS server settings but the same IP range. When you are having problems, do a IPCONFIG /ALL and see what the dns servers are set, and compair that to when it's working. When I was having problems I would do IPCONFIG /RENEW and that would fix the problem. Hope this helps you a little.
