Did you do a clean install or an upgrade? You make mention about Outlook trying to access c:. What do you mean by that? Your post reads as if there was a botched install. Will need a little more information.

I have a Daul boot system that had Windows Vista Ultima and Windows XP Pro w/SP3 installed.I updated the Vista to Win 7 Ultima 7077Beta. The installation seemed to work fine. The problem is that I can not access my C drive with any filew managers or anything else. I can open the My Documents and favariotes whicjh is strored on C drive but that is about all. I get an access denied error and I an the administrator. My Outlook "pst " file is alos stored on C drive and Outlook will not start because it says that it does not have access to C drive.According to "My Computer" the C & Ddrivesare shared and I cannot get to either. But I am booting from and running Win 7 from C drive. I have 6 hard drives on the system and I can access all the other drives.I cannot change the owner in the security tab under properities of C drive. Access denied. Thanks in advance.

Hi Blue KnightTo maintain the integrity of the beta, these forums only support the official Windows 7 beta Build 7000. The next official build will be the Release Candidate (RC). When the RC is released we will be supporting that build. See the followingthread for more detailed information about the build you are using.Windows 7 Unofficial Builds This thread will be locked.Thank you for understanding.
