Hard Drive Crashed, Windows not Genuine
I bought a new hard drive and my copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on 9/05/10 (I still have the receipt) due to the fact that my hard drive crashed and I was on XP so I figured it was time for an upgrade anyway. Then on 9/12/11, my new hard drive which I
had installed Windows on orginally also crashed (I'm really unlucky with HD's I guess). So on 9/14/11 I bought a new hard drive (also have the receipt for that). After reinstalling Windows I kept getting the message that Windows isn't genuine, I figured I'd
let it be for awhile because it wasn't that annoying but I figured I'd actually get this fixed now. Is there a way to make this copy of Windows 7 on my current hard drive to be genuine?

If online activation fails:
Call Microsoft Using Manual Phone Activation
Note: if you are still installing Windows and at the Enter Your Product Key page, do not enter your key and uncheck "Automatically Activate When Online" then click OK/Next to finish the installation.
If you have trouble activating Windows 7 you can call Microsoft to activate by following the steps below.
1. With Windows running click Start, then in the Search box type: slui.exe 4
2. Press Enter on your Keyboard
3. Select your Country.
4. Select the Phone Activation option, call the number given and hold for a person to pick up.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop -
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

As far as I can see theres not problem, except that you neglected to activate the system.
Either accept the prompt to activate on boot, or use the following method to activate by telephone...

in the Search box, type
SLUI 4
and hit the Enter key
