HP color Laserjet 2600n prints only one test page
Using windows 7 I can connect to our HP 2600n printer and print one test page. After that I try to print, I see the job go to the q and shortly disapear, nothing comes out on the printer. The printer is on the network and has a fixed IP address. One of my windows 7 PCs can print to it but the others all have this same problem after one test page. The only way I can get it to work again is to remove it reboot and set it up again. I have tried stoping and starting the spooler but it still does not print. I set it up as a shared printer on the one Windows 7 PC that works consistenly and then setting up the others to print to the shared printer. That works at first but when the users return in the morning the printer is no longer showing up for them. I am open to sugestions. The anti virus is Windows Security Essentials. The PCs are on a workgroup.

I think there recently was a driver update for this printer posted on Windows Update. If you installed this driver you might be experiencing problems as I have heard other users having problems with it.Blogging about Windows for IT pros at www.theexperienceblog.com

Hi, Please fully uninstall the printer driver, then install the official driver for a test. Usually, this kind of issue is caused by the driver which is not fully compatible with Windows 7. Also, you may delete the printer cache before installing the driver. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
