HOW TO ON NETWORK DISCOVERY ON WINDOWS XP ON A DOMAIN
Hi! Guys I need a command/guide that can ON network discovery on Windows XP because I am having a challenge on having access to user profile folders shared on XP. Moreover, the network in which this is needed is a domain network. Why this command/guide is from my research and suggestion made by windows wizard. NOTE: This is stickly on XP and not other windows verson. I will be glad if my request can be given a solution already tested and satified. Thanks.

Hi, Firstly, please let us know more details about the issue. What error message did you receive when the user profile folders failed to be accessed? Meanwhile, based on my research, please try the following: 1. In Windows XP, make sure that Files and Printer sharing is enabled. 2. Make sure that NetBIOS is enabled. 3. Verify that the following Services are all Started as well. COM+ Event System Computer Browser DHCP Client DNS Client Network Connections Network Location Awareness Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Server TCP/IP Netbios helper Workstation If issue persists, it is recommended to post the issue in Windows XP Forum. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support
