HOW FIX ICON to show remove hardware after trying replies in forum.
Using Windows Xp-Home Edition-32 bit, the icon to add remove hardware has disappeared from the from the lower tool bar. Have researched the forum and ried some of the listed fixes but nothing ?? Tried properties->customize->and always show the icon is checked...and toolbar is not locked then have tried Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Hardware On the left hand side click on the Add/Remove Windows Components Double click Networking Services in the list Untick UPnP User Interface Press OKIf that doesn't work you can tryRight click on My Computer > Manage >Services and Applications > Services Find Plug and Play on the list and then double click it. This shows enabled and automatic.Anybody got any othrer ideas, one note the device manager does not show any hardware, the screen is blank. and showw hidden does not diplay any, but if you got to Control panel->printers&other hardware_> select a device they are displayed there !!1 person needs an answerI do too
