I keep getting the message "HOST APP SERVER has stopped working" whenever I try to select the home button on my screen. It simply says that Windows will close the application and notify me when a solution has been found, but this has been going on for a week and it has yet to message me a solution. The error message isn't very specific as to what is going on and I have no idea what to do!

Please open Event Viewer and check the related logs, if possible, post the information here.

Further, follow the advice posted by Arnav Sharma, follow the guide to boot into clean boot and check the issue again.
