Guest Name for Cell Phone not Matching Caller ID Name
I have a Lync 2010 that shows a different name when I call into a meeting on a cell phone instead of the name my caller ID is providing.  Can someone point me to where I need to go to get this changed?  I have validated the current information caller ID is sending by calling my home phone, but calling into a Lync meeting seems to be pulling an older version (possibly cached).  Any pointers would be appreciated as I can find nothing that talks about how a "guest" name is set in Lync 2010.

Hi,

Did the issue happen only for you or for multiple users?

If the issue happen for multiple users, please check the Media Gateway or IP-PBX if there is a parameter similar like Use Source Number as Display Name. If yes, please try to set it to Yes and then test the issue again.

Best Regards,

IT says it is my problem, so I don't know who else it might have happened for.  I am trying to do some investigation to see what could be causing it.

I will try to get them to check this setting.  Where would it be in the system?

I think this is the answer, but they cannot do this for several reasons due to version of the software making it risky to destroy everyone's data when doing that.  I am marking this as the answer, but I wanted anyone reading this to know that it may not be as easy to do as it should be if the organization is not on the latest version of everything.
