Have you done a system restore yet? That should fix it. If you don't have any restore points, then there are other ways to go about fixing it. But let us know first if restore does the job for you.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Hi, thanks for answering my request for help so fast.A system restore does not help.I have even reloaded a system image of a couple of weeks ago and saw that the Guest Account was already broken at that time. You said that there is a plan B ?I think we gonna need it :-))Thanks on beforehandRegards Picsoe

Hi PicsoeTry creating another Guest account to see if the same behavior is recreated. If this new Guest account works OK, it indicates that the first Guest account may be corrupted.Let us know.Thank You for using Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

look atthe keys under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentUser\ProfileList\ and seeif you areable to find the key forGuest id SID.Does the key had a ".bak" appended to it and is therean identical one that was set to a temp directory. Renamed the other key, removed the ".bak" from the other and change the State property underGuest key to 0. Please make a backup of your registry Here's Microsoft KB article on that problem too http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215MCSE, MCSA, MCDST
