Group policy vs Logon scripts
Hi, This is such a broad question, I am hoping I dont get slaughtered by the admins. We are in the process of piloting Windows 7. I have successfully deployed a Windows7 image to a machine, and we have a vbs file, that acts as a logon script to map drives, home folder etc. I have been instructed to investigate removing logon scripts and implementing all the changes with GPO. Where do I start, can you please give me some ideas on how to start researching this. regards, Carlo

I've done some testing regarding that. The result was that a vbscript logonscript is faster then GPO. We use the logonscript to map drives, copy files and import registry files.
