Group Policy Editor Activated By Mistake, Need to Undo
I am running Windows XP Prof W/Media Edition. I was doing a tip/tweak for a snap-in grid that someone (I'll never listen to again) told me about and somehow did snap-in installation which started the Group Policy Editor. At this point I have done nothing further. All I want is to turn off the GPE as I really don't want to use it and I realize if I don't get this reversed I've got a problem as things are starting go haywire. Please someone tell me I can take this away.Bev ( who promises not to tip/tweak with out serious research and sleep)P.S. If I have this in the wrong forum, I am sorry please tell me where to post1 person needs an answerI do too

Group Policy Editor can't do anything by itself. You'd have to intentionally run it and tell it to make changes to the system. I don't know of a way to uninstall it. I recommend using System Restore to go back to a time before the snap-in installation.Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional
