Group Policies don't apply in Win7
Hi,I have Win2003srv domain where i like to join Windows7 client.Joining to domain goes wellI can logon (with domain admin and domain user)But group policies don't apply (machine object is in right place at AD)There's error's in event logs:first there's eventid 5719 (source netlogon) This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain KAUHA due to the following: There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator. ADDITIONAL INFO If this computer is a domain controller for the specified domain, it sets up the secure session to the primary domain controller emulator in the specified domain. Otherwise, this computer sets up the secure session to any domain controller in the specified domain. After that there's a couple of eventid 1058 (source: GroupPolicy): The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\DomainName\SysVol\domainname\Policies\{C48C1B5F-920F-4B98-B37F-232FD49294C2}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following: a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller. b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller). c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.Rsop.msc says that: Group Policy Infrastructure failed due to the error listed below. The network path was not found. Note: Due to the GP Core failure, none of the other Group Policy components processed their policy. Consequently, status information for the other components is not available.Weird thing is that when i run gpupdate /force right after loginthose group policies applies. So why don't those work during login process?

Hi, Please try the methods of the following Knowledge Base: Event ID 5719 is logged when you start a computer on a domain, and the computer is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000 Meanwhile, if you have another Windows 7 computer, please add it to this domain and see if the issue also occurs. Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue: - Windows 2003 Domain - Window 7 clients with Gigabit adapters logging error 5719 Your solution is for pre-Windows 2007 clients. I even tried the registry fix on Win7, but it did not solve the problem. I don't think this thread should be considered "solved". Any applicable solutions are appreciated.
