Any thoughts with google chrome. Em I going to have a arm and a tooth ripped out saying such a word here. I tried google chrome with windows 7 and it worked very well. I stop using it until I know all the security issues.

Security Reasons? What?If anything Chrome (and other browsers) are arguably MORE secure because they're not tied to the Operating System like Internet Explorer.I'm more of a Firefox person myself, I have all the major browsers since I do web development and I found Chrome to be fast and an interesting take on tabs. Such as being at the top, able to tear off, and if one crashes, only the tab crashes and not the whole browser. Also, you should do your research somewhere else. Much like asking about Linux or OpenOffice.org you're sure to get some biased answers since this is after all a Microsoft oriented forum.

Well I for one, can't fault you for asking. This IS where the Win 7 guys (and gals) hang out, after all, even if Microsoft is buying the coffee.I too tend to be a Firefox kinda guy, although I have tried and sort of liked Chrome. I just don't like Google politics. And I don't like Safari.I think you will be fine with Chrome. I'm guessing it is just as secure as any.

I'm an IE guy but, because of the Issues with IE8 and windows 7, I am forced to go with firefoxzers, when the white page effect goes away I'll resume with IE.

The only requirement is that the discussion be on topic for these forums, which simply means that it be associated with testing the Windows 7 beta.Hope this helps. Fire Fox...Installed perfectly and almost all of my add ons are working. The one major issue I've had with it is, ironically, with the IE Tab add on, which allows you to switch rendering engines and view web pages only viewable with IE through FF.My girl refuses to leave behind her aol games so she would use IE Tab to get at them in XP Pro. Tried it in Windows 7 with the new IE8 and got the strangest episode I have ever seen on my pc:Got notified that FF had stopped working.A new window opened via IE8.Tried to close it and got the (not responding thing)Then another window opened in IE8.And another. And another. They came so fast even the task manager couldn't keep up. Internet Explorer .exe were popping up like crazy.Did a hard reboot and everything was fine. texan4u

Hi texan4u That is strange? You might want to post this in our official feedback thread. Have Comments about Windows 7 Beta? Be sure to include the version of FF, name of the add-on and version number, and the URL that was being accessed. All of the posts in that thread are sent directly to the Windows 7 product team. Hope this helps. Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP
