Giving out my email address and password to job search engine sites?
General question: Is it a bad idea to give out both my email address AND my password to job search web sites like Jobing.com, Monster.com, most recently PhoenixJobs.com? Why do they need my password and require me to make sure that "cookies" is enabled? This makes me nervous. Should I be?Please advise. Thanks, John Van Fleet1 person needs an answerI do too

The job sites doesn't ask for your email password! They ask you for a password which can be new or old. You can use the same password everywhere or have different passwords for different sites which is recommended. You shouldn't be nervous though cause they cannot really see your password. They basicly ask you to create account , which mean you have to register as a new user in their website and then you could use their service and keep trace of your activity. It is NOT your email password but it is new account that you should create.
