Gigabit PCIe LAN card and Windows 7 beta
HiMy motherboard has a Realtek RTL8101E PCIe fast ethernet NIC, which with Vista drivers allows me to connect to the internet with no problems with 7 beta. However my Edimax EN-9250TX-E gigabit PCIe LAN card with Vista drivers is not recognised by 7 beta's device manager. All I get is other devices, ethernet connector, unknown device.Any suggestions please?

I have 3 HD's running XP Home, Windows 7 beta and Ubuntu 8.04. My gigabit card is recognised and works OK with XP and Linux but not with 7 beta. I've tried removing it and reinstalling it and used the Vista & XP drivers but to 7 beta it remains an unidentified device..??

You will need a better driver for the card. As the beta develops, you will probably see one appear, and may even receive it via the Windows Update site.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
