Getting prompted constantly
Hi, I have a win7 pro computer outside a domain. I have a user inside the domain. What I want is to do like in XP and use cmdkey to add credentials to different servers like SQL server and Exchange. This works on TFS since it's HTTP, but does not work on SQL server with windows auth or Exchange. This USED to work on XP. Is there some local security policy I can change? What I have to do is to make a CMD file running "runas" with /netonly. But this is a lumpy solution at best. Hoping for some suggestions! Thanks!

I suggest you change the default authentication level in order to make it compatible with Windows Server 2003. 1. Launch regedit from Start Search box. 2. Find the following branch. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa 3. Create a DWORD key under Lsa and set: Name: LmCompatibilityLevel Value: 1 4. Restart. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, and thanks for the answer :) I already have that set. Could it be something else though?

I am a bit astonished that noone else has this problem... Adding the ms sql server machine with cmdkey worked in XP. Doesn't work in Win7
