Getting File download message at every start-up
The computer in question is used in a school setting and has been unplugged over the summer. It runs xp and ie 7. After hooking it back up, at every start-up I get a message about a realtek driver upgrade, I think, not having enough memory to load, this goes away and then the dialog box "do you want to run or download this file", files downloaded from internet can be harmful, etc. The file is from an education website accessed the previos year, so I guess it may or may not be infected. whatever I choose has no affect on it reappearing at the next start-up, will reappear when ie 7 is opened. It seems more annoying than anything. These computers are used by kids so have a variety of glitches, hangs. any suggestions will be appreciated as upkeep is left to the teachers mostly1 person got this answerI do too

I solved the problem by upgrading IE7 to IE8. I guess reinstalling IE7 would have worked too. Seems somehting got stuck in the old browser. It turns out it was even more annoying than I first suspected, since the message would reappear when opening the browser or changing web sites. I had to install IE8 and restart the computer before it went away. If anyone can explain why this worked I'd like to know
