The easiest way to retrieve the key is reading your documents - invoice and/or custome license agreement ;-) (There are key finders http://pcsupport.about.com/od/productkeysactivation/tp/topkeyfinder.htm Remember that you should follow the law and use operating system according to the license agreement.) Hi, Have you checked the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ DefaultProductKey? What is the value of DigitalProductId? However, please note, retrieving Product Key from registry may violate Microsoft security policy. It is recommended to contact your system administrator to check if you have permission to get the key. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support

Thanks in advance The BBBBB Key is the result of removing the Key from the registry for security purposes, and is quite normal - assuming the System Admin chose to do this. It is not the default, though. Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

This is normal value of registry if your key is from Microsoft Volume Licensing program.

ONLY if the sysadmin has used the option to hide the key - otherwise, it's displayed as normal.Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth
