Get phone number via Netsh mbn

Hi all and thanks in advance.

We have a situation where IT have deployed around 1000 Windows 8 tablets with 3g sims.

Comm services have been swapping out SIM cards as needed, and some in IT to the point where our asset list is out of date.  We need this info so we can chase up the excessive data usage people and get them to wind back.

So we need to correlate SIM/Phone Number to device and login.

We already have a script which logs the last login and device and location at login.

To get the mobile info I have tried running

netsh mbn show smsconfig "Mobile Broadband"

Which seemed to work until I saw that all the Phone numbers where identical.

My questions are ...

Does anyone do this and how?

Does anyone know what the number I'm getting back refers to?

Where can I get the real number ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Fos69,

The main issue is to get the Mobile Broadband information, right?

We could try "netsh mbn show profile" to have a check.

In addition, I hope the information included in the following link will be useful(The "symptom 3"collectting log part).
Having mobile broadband issues in Windows 7?...
