Genuine Microsoft certified engineer?
I took a call yesterday from what sounded like a call centre in India. The guy asked if I was having problems with my computer because a number of alerts had been received. He suggested he was an MS certified engineer from a company called Solutions 1000 and that he could talk me through some diagnostics. I said I wasn't prepared to do this until I had checked if he (and his company is credible). I am aware of so many scams and will not allow anyone to take over my computer remotely. However, my computer is slow to start up and is sluggish so there could be a legitimate problem. Anyone heard of Solutions 1000 or recieved a similar call. Thanks in advance.1 person needs an answerI do too

That is FAKE for sure. If they are call you then they are need you NOT you need them.Microsoft will never call you unless you ask them to call you back. I suggest to have a look at:http://cyberdefend.wordpress.com/2010/05/14/hello-i-am-from-microsoft/If you PC is slow, then I suggest to run full scan with:http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htmIt will clean up your PC and tell you if you need defragnment or not also make sure your Windows is fully update.
