Generic SCIM connector

Will MIM support a connector based on the SCIM protcol? is there any commercial FIM agent that support SCIM currently that anyone knows off?

I am looking for a way to standarize my (to be) connected applications when talking to application owners, i find the current 'generic' webservice connector very difficult to understand and to configure anybody have more documentation about this besides the document from 2012?

Hi Paul,

since we do not know much about the new features in MIMs Sync Engine its hard to say, but I would think probably there will be no OOB connector.

I never worked with SCIM protocol but maybe you could use the WebService Connector and of course ECMA Connector is a option every time.

In addition you can use ready to go allround connectors like Soren's PowerShell MA

Hi Peter,

I understand the options, like ECMA2 and powershell.

But i have many conversations with cloud vendors and other on premise application owners at my customer about connecting to FIM, and every time we have the same discussion how to connect/interface when the (cloud) application has no API/interface/webservice whatsoever for the information we would like to exchange (identity/user/authorizations etc) available, the the application owners need to develop such interfaces.

The questions then comes back what can you offer from the FIM systems perspective, a protocol like SCIM would make things much easier in the discussion, same as when talking about single sign on where often SAML is used.

Nevertheless is there any documentation available for the webservice connector for a default project which webservices the (cloud) application should have in place so make the connection easy out of the box?

We have built a common webservice connector at another customer that expects predefined webservices but this is a not based on a common API standard.
