I am a big gamer. Valve products mostly.I installed the Beta version of 7 with 2 purposes.Overall performance, taking advantage of 8 gig of memory on the 64 bit platform and gaming experience.I have to say that the overall performance is outstanding.Gaming side of it has impressed me the most. I play Left4dead and HL2DM mostly. Both multiplayer platforms. When playing l4d the action is smooth and uninhibited. What I find strange is that the graphics appear much richer and detailed than they do when I'm on my XP system. Not sure if it's taking advantage of newer technology in 7 and/or directx, but I am very pleased.I beta tested vista and I was so disapointed with the testing that I talked myself into not buying it.It is "bug free". Now this is my experience. 7 is in beta so expect the unexpected.I would buy this one in a heart beat.

I'm a gamer and play Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty 5 on a daily basis. Have had no problems what so ever. OS is stable and I use it on my main computer which is also my gaming computer. I always back up on a daily basis using Sync Toy and Task Manager by Microsoft on a back up hard drive. On a monthly basis I take a backup HDD offsite.I did and do all this soif the OS dies or was to flaky I could just reinstall Vista and be done with the beta. As of now for since the beta was relesed I havent had to ,,everything just works.
