Games Folder does not show all Games
Like many guys I have a bunch of games on the Windows machine. I do not have a console and do not want one at this time. Its not a problem. Some of the older games such as the original Quake and Command & Conquer: Generals are not picked up. I am sure more games are like this and I am accumulating more titles to add to the games page I posted with the games I play (on my site) Due to the limitations of the HD 2400 I am unable to play most modem games even cut down. I am looking at a bigger disk first before I grab a better video card. I need more room to install them all. Lots of old games work fine, but I am simply pointing out Windows 7 does not seem to like them. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! To my knowledge, this Game Browser thing came new with Vista - games older than that will not have been designed to appear in it, anyway. It would be fairer to say that Win7 doesn't know to care about the old buggers. :) As for Win7's backwards compatibility, I've seen reports that people have gotten Wing Commander 4 DVD and Kilrathi Saga working reasonably well - native, no emulation besides compatibility modes - which is quite the feat even on XP. How about some official-ish confirmation, since I haven't used Vista/Win7 with any 'Games for Windows'-title to date?
