Sorry but they worked fine when I installed it. Are you using the 64bit or the 32bit version?

I installed the 32 bit on a Dell 600m. Installation went flawlessly and everything seems to work except for MS games such as Solitaire. They'll actually lock up my laptop when I try to launch them. Ctrl-Alt-Del won't even work so I can't kill it, so I have to do a hard shut down.

My install on a Dell XPS M1710 was good. Windows games are good. But Ventrillo doesn't accept keys when not in focus (talk key doesn't work) and LoTRO has some graphical errors. Haven't tried much more, but so far it's not too good.

I have Win 7 64 bit installed. All the games work from the windows games folder in C drive but all the shortcuts are dead.
January 15th, 2009 3:45am

There is definitely a problem with the shortcuts being created in the Games directory inside the start menu. I had to recreate the shortcuts to my installed games since the auto made shortcuts don't seem to point to thecorrect target.Running Win7 x64 as well.

There are some video cards that are not compatible for windows 7 yet that is why games are mess uphttp://www.start64.com/

I'll throw an idea into the mix - using your add/remove programs and then windows programs and make sure the games are actually installed (yeah I know, if the short-cuts are there, they should be). Even if the files themselves are there on the hard-drive if registry entries weren't made properly then they'd likely not work.Good luck.Cheers.

If you getting kicked from COD4 for "unknown windows API" punkbuster kick, you can trythe following. It worked for me.run services.mscgo down to PnkbstrA and PnkbstrB services.in the properties of each one, under the Log ON tabwhere it says Local system account, there is an empty check boxlabeled "Allow service to interact with desktop" tick that box in both services.apply and restart your system.went from being kicked every 20 seconds, to playing a full match without a kick.

Punkbuster will not support Windows 7 until the final release, so you will just have to play on servers not running Punkbuster , or go back to Vista/XPhttp://www.punksbusted.com/forums/index.php?act=announce&f=1&id=26
