Game Explorer Error : Windows is unable to connect to the game updates server
Currently I'm using win7 SP1 and when trying to see if there is an update for a game from the Game Explorer I get: Windows is unable to connect to the game updates server. Check your network connection or try again later. I have no idea why this is happening. It worked before so I'm not sure why it's not working now. Can anyone be of any help in resolving this? Sidenote: I read that using "Automatically detect setting" from Lan Settings of Internet Options helps others but that doesn't work for me because it's already reading that. Also, I'm using Marketplace v3.4 if that's any help.

Microsoft games servers have been up and down of late. My suggestion is to be patient, somebody will fix it My MVP is for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 IT, and I am getting increasingly good with Visual Studio. Hi ECH1, Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus programs to check if the game works. If it doesn’t work, uninstall the game and reinstall it. In addition, try to flush the DNS, click Start, input cmd, run it as administrator, input ipconfig /flushdns Best Regards, Miya Yao TechNet Subscriber Support in forum. Hey what do you know? It works now without having done anything or made any changes. It appears that Vegan Fantic was correct in saying that the servers were down. It took a couple of days but it's working now. Miya Yao, I also want to thank you for taking the time to reply to my question as well.
