I suggest you restore the system to the status prior to installing the gadgets. Windows 7 features - System Restore - Microsoft WindowsArthur Xie - MSFT

I just had a problem where my Sidebar would not start and one of my gadgets was also not running. I found a post that said to unregister and re-register 3 DLLs. Did so, rebooted and the problem was solved. Here is the batch file I created to do this: regsvr32 -u ATL.DLL regsvr32 -u sbdrop.dll regsvr32 -u wlsrvc.dll regsvr32 ATL.DLL regsvr32 sbdrop.dll regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll Copy the above hilited lines and paste into notepad. Save in C:\Programs\Windows Sideba r as FixSidebar.bat (make sure you you change the Save as type to All files or it will be saved as FixSidebar.bat.txt ). Open a Elevated Command Prompt . Enter the following: cd \programs cd "windows sidebar" fixsidebar Click OK as each unregister and register command completes. Reboot and see if the problem is fixed.Rich Why can't I be different and original like everybody else? - Vivian Stanshal

You may try to search the folder. The gadget name should be included in the folder name. You can search for “*[gadget name]*” and find the folder according to the result.Arthur Xie - MSFT

hey.. i think i solved my problem.. :D maybe because im a newbie user of windows 7, still needs to explore it I didn't know all of its features. I'm an XP user before. What did i do was i search sidebar on the start menu searchbox , then there appeared the view list of running gadgets and i opened it. There appears my gadgets running on desktop. I've seen there two gadgets also running but not appearing on my desktop(that was the gadget i downloaded from windows live). I removed it then i reboot my computer! That solved my problem, the download file that always prompts me to download every startup was also gone. Maybe next time i'll think twice before i download and install software to my machine! Anyway thanks to you all! Hope this will help also other WIN7 user having problems like mine! Thank you! :D
