Fuzzy Blue Screen while launching apps on Win7 RC
I just installed the RC a few weeks ago and the OS seems to be mostly stable and working perfectly fine but I notice that when I launch certain programs, it hangs up and all I see is an extremely fuzzy blue screen. This is not the conventional BSOD with error codes, but rather a light blue screen which constantly refreshes. The computer hangs up at this point and does not restart on it's own so I have to manually restart- then Windows 7 boots up just fine and runs normally till I launch one of the programs below. I tried to see if Windows 7 could detect any hardware errors but no luck with the troubleshooter since it says everything is working fine. After the restart, Windows 7 doesn't even notify me that an error occurred. The fuzzy screen appears especially when I do simple tasks like launching the Windows 7 Experience Index (to merely see my computer's rating) or even add a new gadget or run a program like Azureus. My system's hardware configuration is as follows- Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Motherboard Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (Model BX80557E6750) Memory: Patriot Extreme Performance 2 x 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM (PC26400) Video card: eVGA 7800 GT PCI-E 256MB DDR3 Hard Drive: 1x SATA- Western Digital Caviar Black 7200rpm, 640GB Monitor: 28" I-INC iF281D, connected via HDMI port (on the monitor) to the video card's DVI port 1 I made sure to update drivers for all the components, including installing a stable driver for my specific video card for Windows 7 from eVGA's website. I also looked through the BIOS settings and everything seems to be normal. I thought it might be a monitor resolution/refresh rate issue at first but I am running 1920x1200 at 60Hz refresh rate (optimum/ recommended setting for my monitor) and Windows 7 runs fine 95% of the time until one of the above programs is launched! I even tried connecting the monitor to the second DVI port of the video card but I am still getting the same issues. Neither the monitor nor the video card gave me any issues back when I was running Windows XP Professional. Any help would be appreciated, this is getting frustrating because I can't figure out what's wrong!! Thanks!

I have the same problem with the following system: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (retail version) Processor: E6400 Motherboard: GA-965P-S3 GPU: XFX 7800 GT Monitor: Dell 2907 (29" at 1920*1200) I've used HDMI and DVI cables, both ports of the graphics card, and reproduced the problem with another monitor (19" Samsung SyncMaster 940B at 1280*1280). I tried two sets of drivers - the Microsoft WDDM drivers that Windows installs by default, and with the latest available from nVidia.com (191.07). Did you ever work out a fix for this? Also, do you have 32 or 64 bit Windows?
