Hi Joe, Have a try of System restore point. Start the Windows 7 in Safe Mode and click yes for System Restore. Find the point or Date last before infection and apply it. After that run scan using any antivirus software for checking the System BartBart Kurowski IT Desktop Support Analyst, MCP, MCTS, MCITP, MCAS

Have you tried to remove it with that program? With a single virus infection that has not been there very long, a clean reinstallation of Windows is seldom necessary. A good anti-virus program will remove most viruses. Note that doing a System Restore is highly unlikely to help you. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

Hi, I would echo what K Blake has written. You should obtain and use a good antivirus program (or two). A reformat would not normally be necessary to clean your computer of a typical virus. CathalCathal O'Brien BSc, PgDip, PhD . Techsmart IT Support | Computer Repairs

Running more than one anti-virus program is fine, but only if they are not running simultaneously. Running two or more at once is likely to adversely impact performance and cause problems as they conflict with each other. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP
