Frozen Windows 7 desktop after launching Internet Explorer 8
I have a W7 64-bit Acer Aspire 5332 laptop system. After launchng IE8, the desktop freezes (all icons non-responsive, no right click menu etc). The Windows keyboard key will not work on the Windows Start button either. The Task Bar works okay and accessing the programs through the start menu using the mouse works fine. This issue only fixes after a reboot when it all returns to normal until I start IE8 again. Help please.

Hi, Most of Internet Explorer 8 hangs can be related to third party adds-on compatibility or third party program installed. When occurring with this kind of issue, you can either run Internet Explorer 8 in no adds-on mode or run Internet Explorer 8 in Safe Mode with networking to test if the issue occurs. Moreover, it is recommended to check Windows Update to get the latest updates and reset Internet Explorer 8 to narrow down the issue. If the issue persists, please also boot in Clean boot to test.
